Queen's Jubilee Lunch
2002
The Thursday Club meets on the 2nd Thursday of most months for a coffee morning and on the 4th Thursday for lunch.  There are about 40 members at present.  Annual subscription is £1.00, lunches are £2.50.  This includes a pre-lunch sherry, a starter, a main course and a pudding followed by coffee or tea.  The cooking is provided by committee members along with a variety of puddings.
A Christmas lunch is held in a hotel somewhere in Dorset and is subsidised from the funds. The healthy state of the Club's funds in due in no small measure to the very successful raffles held at each meeting
The Club held its first meeting in 1977 in the Wessex Barn when it was a guest house next to Frampton Garage.  Later meetings were moved to the old village hall and are now held in the new village hall built in 1990.
Other than to give members an opportunity to meet and chat over a cup of cofee or a meal, the Club has no other purpose.  New members are always welcome
