The Sheridan Crypt was reopened in 2003 for the burial of a Sheridan family member from New Zealand
These astonishing photographs are of a crypt beneath  the church in Sydling St Nicholas.  They were taken by the Rev Ken Scott through a small hole in the floor with a camera tied to a stick! It was the only access and is now sealed

The Chalk Stream is the Church magazine for the four parishes of Bradford Peverell, Stratton, Frampton and Sydling St Nicholas.  The first issue of eleven pages, in April/May 1982, was distributed round Stratton and Bradford Peverell. Dec1983/Jan1984 included Sydling and in February 1988 Frampton was the final area added to the distribution list.  By then there were 26 pages to an issue, now in 2008 there are 50 and the numbers delivered have grown to 935 because new houses have been added to all the villages.  It all began on a daisy-wheel typewriter, then a typewriter with a memory then a word processor and finally a computer.  They do make such processes much easier of course, but it is still quite easy to lose some vital piece or picture or find something needing publishing coming in just as you think you got everything fitted in nicely
