HYDECLIFT PLANTATION
The four acre wood was purchased by two generous Framptonians as a village amenity and has proved a popular and much used facility ever since.  Various tasks have been tackled both by villagers and by Dorset Countryside Volunteers.

They constructed this excellent slope from the riverside path to the top path and have cleared spaces in the wood.

There are simple seats at intervals, snowdrops and bluebells, ducks on the river and fish in it, damselflies and dragonflies, robins and longtail tits in the trees, all in season, of course.
Although the paths had to be cleared to start with, including a run round with a lawnmower!!, they have been kept open ever since by people using them.
This gate marks the boundary of the village wood.  The remainder is privately owned.  Please do not trespass.
